Honorary Membership is conferred upon individuals who, in the opinion of the Council, have rendered or are capable of rendering valuable assistance in promoting the objects of the Society.

• Awarded at the discretion of the Council
• Recognizes exceptional contribution or support

Fellow Membership is for geospatial professionals who have demonstrated significant experience, leadership, and contribution to the profession.

• 1.Minimum of five (5) years relevant geospatial experience
• OR
• 2.Fellow of a Council-recognized professional body
• OR
• 3.Holds Council-approved equivalent qualifications
• 4.Application isapproved by Council and General Assembly

Corporate Members are fully qualified geospatial professionals recognized for their academic training, professional experience, and ethical standing.

• 1.Bachelor’s degree or a higher National Diploma in an approved geospatial discipline such as:
• Land Surveying/Geospatial Engineering/Geomatics Engineering, Hydrographic Surveying, Geospatial Information Science, Geoinformation/Geoinfomatics/Cartography/Photogrametry/Photolithography/Map Production
• 2.Graduate member of the Society (or equivalent graduate membership in an approved society) for at least two (2) years and inducted
• OR
• 3.Diploma holder in an approved discipline such as:
• Land Surveying, Cartography, Geospatial Engineering, Photolithography/Map Production, or equivalent
and has been a technician member in the society or equivalent membership in an approved society for at least five (5) years plus a Degree or Higher National Diploma in the relevant Geospatial or Map Reproduction field.
• OR
• 4.Admitted as a Full/Corporate Member or equivalent in an approved professional society whose qualifications for such admission are not less than those prescribed in above

Graduate Members are individuals who have completed recognized university training in geospatial and related disciplines.

• 1.Degree in in an approved geospatial discipline such as:
• Land Surveying/Geospatial Engineering /Geomatics Engineering, Hydrographic Surveying, Geospatial Information Science, Geoinformation/Geoinfomatics/Cartography/Photogrametry/Photolithography/Map Production
• OR
• its equivalent
• 2.Qualification obtained from a recognized university
• OR
• 3.Attained such other training as may be approved by the Council

Technician Members are skilled practitioners providing technical support in surveying, mapping, and geospatial services.

• 1.Diploma in an approved geospatial discipline such as:
• Land Surveying, Cartography, Photogrammetry
• OR
• its equivalent as may be prescribed by the Council.

Affiliate Members include individuals with certificate-level training or allied professionals supporting the geospatial sector.

• 1.Certificate in an approved geospatial discipline such as:
• Land Surveying, Map Reproduction,from a Society recognized by the Council.
